VILLAGE MAIN STREETS

who we are:

Village Main Streets Group brings together community members, town government, business owners and other entities who seek to achieve the 2017 Town Plan goals for the North and South Villages of Londonderry.
Picture

what we do:

Our group is gathering and identifying needs to revitalize our North and South Village Main Streets to create identifiable town centers. Identified needs include: traffic calming, pedestrian safety, vibrant village centers and easy access to parks and the river. Working in partnership with all stakeholders and residents, the Village Main Streets group builds consensus on solutions that can be accomplished through grants, private funds and tax funds as sanctioned by the Selectboard.

our goals for this year:

1.  Establish ongoing communications with business owners, residents, town government and local organizations to understand the needs of the community and work together in developing solutions for livable and vibrant village centers.

2.  Engage all stakeholders in a planning process to prioritize, categorize and take action on projects and solutions.

3.
Partner with the  Londonderry Planning Commission in the development of a Master Plan for Main Street.

4.  Assess and explore all funding sources for projects and programs to support the revitalization of our Main Streets through the Community Fund for Londonderry and a future private investor group.
