FRIENDS OF
MAIN STREET

In 2015, a small group of caring Londonderry residents got together to initiate a
“grassroots” effort to help brighten up the downtown areas of North and South
Londonderry. “Friends of Main Street” was formed. And since 2015, the group
has placed and maintained roughly three dozen planters every year – filled with
beautiful flowers that bloom throughout the summer months. How is this
possible? We do not rely on funding from The Town. Rather, the only reason
why we are able to continue to do this year after year is because of generous
donations by residents in our community. (These donations are tax deductible
when sent through The Community Fund of Londonderry.)
