Nine walking, hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, & x-c skiing trails are established and marked in Londonderry. All trails are moderate, although weather conditions can change levels of difficulty.

BOATWAYSThree local lakes. No lifeguards. Swimming and boating are at your own risk. Gale Meadows allows motorized boats but no swimming. All lakes require PFDs to be in boats or on children under 14.

BIKEWAYSTwo well-traveled road biking routes are suggested because they are popular and relatively safe. Most Vermont roads have limited shoulder space, use caution. Helmets & lights are recommended.

WILDERNESS USE GUIDELINES: 1. Whatever you take in, take out. Leave no belongings, trash, or doggie bags on trails. 2. Pets must be leashed and attended to at all times. 3. Let someone know where you are going and when you’re expected back. 4. Travel in pairs or groups, if possible. 5. Cell phones often don’t work in the woods. Review maps & restrictions. 6. Do not feed or approach wildlife. 7. Many plants on trails are endangered. Do not pull or pick plants. 8. Wear protective gear; helmets for bikes and PFDs for boats and kayaks. 9. Camping and fires are not permitted along trails. 10. Be considerate. Limited parking. Slower walkers to the right, pass on left. |
