Community Skating & Gathering @
'Derry Rink

Sunday, March 13
3-5 pm

Celebrate the end of the season, the community, and sponsors that made this wonderful recreation opportunity happen!
Weather Permitting. Look for updates here!

The Londonderry Transfer Station is hosting a season-long skate swap. Donations of gently used ice skates of all sizes, as well as used hockey sticks and pucks are greatly appreciated! Please bring these to the Transfer Station. Skates will be available free to the mountain town community at the during its normal business hours.

The 'Derry rink, 120' x 50' is installed behind Jake’s Restaurant, near the horseshoe and volleyball courts!
A town ice rink provides the benefits of outdoor recreation and serves as a focal spot for the community.
Kudos to the rink site leveling team (Chaves & Hunter Excavating), rink install team (Wantastiquet Rotary), rink flooding team (Phoenix Fire Company) and the One Londonderry Winter Festival Committee for getting the rink ready.
And the fun part – skating, skating, skating!

 Volunteers Needed!

To keep our rink smooth, fun, and fast, maintenance volunteers are needed. We are looking for rink volunteers who will sign up for ice maintenance help, being on call one week each month in January, February, and March. With our Bambini, resurfacing will be a breeze, a snowblower is at the ready, we have a 4x4 to drag the machine around the ice and we will have backup brooms and shovels. Each week will have a volunteer coordinator assigned to direct rink volunteers and at the beginning of the rink season, an opening demonstration of the equipment and techniques for perfect ice maintenance will be demonstrated.
